Bastide Oleander is situated in an elevated position on a peaceful hillside with wonderful views south across the Provençal countryside to the distant hills of the Massif des Maures. Sitting in the middle of its 8 acres of olive grove, oak and pine trees it's well away from the road and the whole property is totally private, secluded and not overlooked.
On the lower terrace is the 10m x 5m heated swimming pool which has a shallow end with Roman steps and plenty of sun loungers and garden furniture surrounding it. For safety the swimming pool has an electrically operated rigid cover conforming to the French safety laws for children.
Provençal summers are lived outside and on the upper terrace there's a large wrought-iron table under the pergola which provides a wonderful spot to dine al fresco. The covered summer kitchen offers alternative dining with another table, a stone sofa, sink and built-in gas barbeque. With French doors leading into the kitchen this all makes outside living and dining very easy.
Surrounding the house there's plenty of space to enjoy with lots of old stone terraces ... a boule court on one, table tennis on another and wooded hills that can be explored. At the back of the house there's a large graveled area with plenty of parking for cars. The house is reached by its own private country track - not suitable for very low-slung sports cars.
