Bastide Oleander is a lovingly restored, renovated and extended stone farmhouse dating from the 18th century, with thick stone walls that help keep the house cool in summer and warm in winter. Repainted in light colours with distressed beams it is furnished to a high standard with a mixture of antique, shabby-chic and French furniture. On the ground floor the marble kitchen is equipped to the highest standard with everything you should need including an American fridge/freezer, dishwasher, espresso machine, a food processor and there's a wrought-iron table and chairs. The kitchen has French doors opening out into the covered summer kitchen for alternative dining and cooking on the barbecue. Next to the kitchen there's a table in the small dining room to seat 4 to 6. There's a sitting room with sofas, chairs, a music system and WiFi internet. For watching TV there's a snug sitting room with a TV which receives English freeview stations and a DVD player with a selection of DVD's.
The house has 5 bedrooms. One is downstairs, a double bedroom with a super king size bed and it has French doors to the outside. There is a bathroom nearby with a wet room shower, basin and a loo. The other 4 bedrooms are all upstairs. The second bedroom is a double with twin beds which is next to the third bedroom, a double with a wrought-iron kingsize bed. These 2 bedrooms are by a bathroom which has a shower, basin and a loo. The fourth bedroom is a double with twin beds. This bedroom is opposite another bathroom with a shower, basin and a loo.
The fifth bedroom is the master bedroom which has a super kingsize bed and French doors onto a small balcony. It has an en suite bathroom with a bath, separate walk-in shower, twin basins and a loo. All the bedrooms have comfortable beds with luxury bed linen, Provençal bed covers and ceiling or room fans. All the 4 bathrooms are tiled and fitted with quality materials combining modern design and traditional style. Upstairs there is a utility area with a washing machine and for babies a highchair and travel cot can be provided.
